The figures settle between arabesque carved pillars their ivory skin obscured loosely by bedlah snaking tendrils interlace at the palace domes Damascus hums to the dancers' steps Palmettes and unreplicable perfection surely these moresque creatures are crafted for exalted eyes a world within a bascilica and another beyond these foliar-form facades It is not within one's lifetime to behold such grandeur as the magnitude of intellectual hegemony what joy it is for our contemporaries to condemn the scholars, praise the dancers--- the exuberance of being silenced forever!
