Copenhagen Summer

Copenhagen Summer

Worlds of fauna and flora

could not rival that Copenhagen summer

when the green-eyed poet seized you and

found you breathless after

you circumnavigate high above nations' edge

while she courses through deep ravines of your mind

like vine upon a wall

she binds, she binds, she binds

I was told you spoke of Molière

through Belgian block alleyways by her side

if the heavens would fall then

she would never know how you cower in the light

Amidst these tempestuous and violent years

Do you still extend your hand to the white cedar's branch?

If you do, all the clouds would burst and

all my feelings avalanche.

  1. Really enjoyed this one, imagery is great and it bring to mind Greek myths....
