Incendiary

Rain came pouring over Chicago

You're coming in and out of offices, coat held over head

escapist, you ran away when the archer aimed for you at the stoop

defeatist, you have trouble crossing invisible lines

The lights in LA burn all night

I cross thousands of streets, sunglasses over my luminous eyes

pragmatist, I remember each arrow that goes through me

optimist, my incendiary thoughts blaze architecture hollow

Let my laughter drown out the music

and let me give you all the credit

we turn a blind eye on how I've gone missing for weeks on end

and how you've used me as an excuse
